SoundScape Cinema Series

An outdoor screening of Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln, will take place Wednesday, May 20, at SoundScape Park as part of the City of Miami Beach’s programming commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary and the 15th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series. The Academy Award–winning historical drama explores Lincoln’s efforts to secure passage of the 13th Amendment during the final months of the Civil War and is widely recognized for its performances, political storytelling and historical detail. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to relax on the lawn and watch the film projected onto the expansive outdoor wall of the New World Center, creating a community movie-night experience in the heart of Miami Beach.
